Dr. S.M. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sachin Surve, President of the inaugural function, who delivered the welcome address and formally launched the initiative. Dr. Surve, who serves as Coordinator of the Faculty Development Centre at the UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (MMTTC), Savitribai Phule Pune University, expressed his appreciation and congratulations to the founder, Dr. Sayyad Vakeel. During his address, Dr. Surve highly praised Poona College's innovative "one-click" examination preparation features and other educational initiatives developed by the College, recognizing their potential to revolutionize digital learning approaches for competitive examinations.

 Comprehensive Guidance Framework Introduced
Dr. Sayyad Vakeel, the visionary founder of Dr. Vakeel's UGC-NET Club, outlined a comprehensive preparation methodology during the inaugural session. The systematic approach includes creating organized study files covering the complete UGC-NET syllabus and systematically analyzing previous 30 examination papers to identify recurring patterns and important topics. 
The preparation strategy encompasses developing structured daily and weekly study schedules with dedicated time slots for consistent practice of multiple-choice questions. 
Dr. Vakeel emphasized the integration of artificial intelligence tools to enhance examination preparation efficiency, alongside promoting collaborative group study sessions to facilitate peer learning.
The methodology incorporates advanced learning techniques including mind mapping for visual concept organization, mnemonic devices for improved memory retention, and strategic keyword identification for quick revision. The approach also features "edutainment" – educational content presented in engaging formats – and comprehensive Last Minute Revision (LMR) notes designed for final examination preparation. Additionally, the program incorporates game-based learning elements to make the preparation process more interactive and engaging.

Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Faculty, and Friends,

It is with a profound mix of emotions, immense pride, deep gratitude and a touch of nostalgia that I write this final message as your College Examination Officer. My tenure from July 2022 to August 2025 has been an extraordinary journey of innovation, collaboration and relentless pursuit of excellence and it is now time for my “Final click” in this role.

When I began, entrusted as the youngest CEO in the history of Poona College, I was driven by a vision to transform our examination system into a pillar of efficiency, transparency and student-centric support. This vision was realized through teamwork with the support of our leaders, to name a few, former Principal Prof.  (Dr.) Shaikh Aftab Anwar, Present Principal, Dr. Iqbal Shaikh and former Vice-Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh.

Our most pioneering accomplishment was the conception and execution of the “One Click Question Paper Initiative.” This groundbreaking, green initiative eliminated logistical burdens and empowered over 12,00,000 (12 lakh) students across 500 colleges affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). It contributed in the Green Environment by saving around 1,20,00,000 ( 1.20 crores )of printing pages. It was an honour for Poona College, along with the Y and M AKI Trust, Mumbai, to receive a formal letter of appreciation from SPPU, cementing our status as the first college in the university’s history to be recognized for such an innovative and socially responsible contribution.

Our commitment was always to you, the students. We engineered a suite of digital solutions to ensure seamless communication and support:

•  A dedicated Telegram channel for instant official announcements, providing seat numbers a day in advance, schedules, and ledgers championing a paperless environment.
•  A 24x7 online student helpline on the college website and a CEO’s 24x7 online help desk via official mail and WhatsApp, ensuring help was always a click away.
• A dedicated Student Grievance Redressal Cell was available at the CEO's Office from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• The provision of previous question papers at a single click, demystifying exam preparation.

For our dedicated staff: we streamlined operations through a dedicated WhatsApp Exam Group, ensuring all critical announcements, combined result ledgers, university schedules, and summary lists were disseminated instantly and efficiently. The entire Examination Department remained a constant, reliable resource, accessible 24x7 through official channels and physically present during all office hours to ensure nothing was left to chance. Our system of continuous alerts for pending internal, practical, and CAP mark entries ensured timely and accurate results.

For our institution: Poona College, Examination Department upheld a standard of impeccable compliance. We navigated all university formalities with precision and supported the accounts department in achieving a record of zero rupee penalty, safeguarding approximately ₹15,00,00 (15 lakhs) for the college over three years. 

The Examination Department  earned a 100%  marks in NAAC  assessment and also a 100% score in Academic and Administrative Audit for the Academic Year  2024-25 (conducted by IQAC,). Furthermore, we maintained a record of zero copy cases across numerous examinations and had the distinct privilege of organizing the solemn and celebratory Graduation Ceremony, honouring the hard work of our students.

Our contributions extended to supporting the university ecosystem by:

• Successfully conducting the university’s Common Assessment Program (CAP). We also made a record of all the model answers available at One Click.
•  Hosting SPPU’s Examination Centre for Supplementary examinations and the Distance Learning Centre (ODL).
• Developing and disseminating critical student undertakings to comply with university circulars.
• Providing consistent guidance and support to fellow College Examination Officers across the region.

As I sign off, I carry with me the pride of what we have built together a system defined not by paperwork, but by purpose; not by hurdles, but by solutions. The foundation is strong, the processes are robust, and the team is exceptional.

I thank the Almighty, Y and M AKI Trust, Mumbai, Principal, HODs, all the teaching, Non-teaching staff members, students and parents for their continuous support and cooperation.

I thank Dr. Prabhakar Desai sir, Officiating Director, BEE (Board of Examination and Evaluation), Savitribai Phule Pune University, former Director of BEE Dr. Mahesh Kakade sir,  Deputy Registrars Dr. Pradeep Koli sir and Rajesh Raherkar , former Deputy Registrars Dr. Gokuldas Lokhande sir and Kulkarni sir, all the staff of SPPU, Examination Department. This pioneering initiative by AKI’s Poona College digitizes question papers of April 2025, making them instantly accessible with a single click. The project is set to benefit approximately three lakh students from over 500 affiliated Arts, Commerce and Science colleges under SPPU. Additionally, it promotes environmental sustainability by saving lakhs of printed pages.  

The event was attended by  Poona College authorities and  exam officials including Dr. Iqbal Shaikh Principal , Dr. Sayyad Vakeel CEO and examination department officials Mr. Akbar Pathan and Mr. Azim Tamboli.

So far, Poona College has digitized four previous question papers, potentially aiding 12 lakh students and saving 1.2 crore pages of paper. 

Dr. Prabhakar Desai commended the college for this  socially impactful and eco-friendly initiative, highlighting its significance for students and the environment. He congratulated and appreciated the efforts of Poona college.

This project marks a major step toward digital education and sustainable practices in academia.

 सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विश्वविद्यालय (SPPU) के परीक्षा एवं मूल्यांकन बोर्ड के इंचार्ज संचालक डॉ. प्रभाकर देसाई ने AKI’s पूना कॉलेज में "वन-क्लिक प्रश्नपत्र" परियोजना का उद्घाटन किया। इस कार्यक्रम में कॉलेज के प्रिंसिपल डॉ. इकबाल शेख (दाएं से दूसरे), सीईओ डॉ. सय्यद वकील और परीक्षा विभाग के अधिकारी श्री अकबर पठान और श्री अज़ीम तंबोली भी मौजूद थे।  

यह नई पहल अप्रैल 2025 के कला, वाणिज्य और विज्ञान के 517 प्रश्नपत्रों को डिजिटल बनाती है, जिससे SPPU से जुड़े 500 कॉलेजों के तीन लाख से अधिक छात्रों को फायदा होगा। इससे पर्यावरण भी सुरक्षित रहेगा क्योंकि लाखों पेजों की बचत होगी।  

अब तक, पुना कॉलेज ने पिछले चार प्रश्नपत्रों को डिजिटल किया है, जिससे 12 लाख छात्रों को मदद मिलेगी और 1.2 करोड़ पेज बचेंगे।  

डॉ. देसाई ने पुना कॉलेज की इस सामाजिक और पर्यावरण-अनुकूल पहल की सराहना की और छात्रों के लिए इसके महत्व को रेखांकित किया। उन्होंने पुना कॉलेज के प्रयासों की सराहना करते हुए बधाई दी।

 – محنت سے آپ کسی بھی چیز میں بہتر ہو سکتے ہیں۔ یہ یقین رکھیں کہ مشق آپ کو بہتر بناتی ہے۔  

5. روزانہ غور کریں

 – ہر دن کچھ منٹ سوچیں کہ آج آپ نے کیا سیکھا اور کیسے بہتر ہو سکتے ہیں۔ چھوٹی چھوٹی سوچ بڑی کامیابی لاتی ہے۔  

6. رائے لیں

 – اپنے اساتذہ، دوستوں اور گھر والوں سے پوچھیں کہ آپ کس میں اچھے ہیں اور کہاں بہتر ہو سکتے ہیں۔  

7. چھوٹے مقاصد بنائیں

– بڑے اور مشکل مقاصد کی بجائے چھوٹے چھوٹے ٹارگٹ رکھیں۔ چھوٹی کامیابیاں آپ کو آگے بڑھنے کی ترغیب دیں گی۔  

8. کامیابیوں کا جشن منائیں

 – اگر آپ نے امتحان میں اچھے نمبر لیے یا کوئی کام مکمل کیا تو خود کو انعام دیں! چھوٹی کامیابیاں آپ کا اعتماد بڑھاتی ہیں۔  

9. غلطیوں سے سیکھیں

– ناکامی آخر نہیں ہوتی۔ ہر غلطی سے کچھ نیا سیکھیں اور اسے اپنی ترقی کا ذریعہ بنائیں۔ 

 

10. مثبت رہیں

 – مشکلات آئیں گی، لیکن اگر آپ مثبت سوچیں گے تو ہمت نہیں ہاریں گے۔ اپنے آپ پر یقین رکھیں!  

 مقامی زبان والے طلباء کے لیے: 

اگر انگریزی آپ کی پہلی زبان نہیں ہے تو پریشان نہ ہوں! آپ یہ کر سکتے ہیں:  

 اپنے اساتذہ سے مشکل باتیں اپنی زبان میں سمجھنے کو کہیں۔  

- دو زبانی کتابیں یا انٹرنیٹ کی مدد لیں۔  

 روزانہ تھوڑی تھوڑی انگریزی بولنے اور لکھنے کی مشق کریں۔  

 آخری بات:

خود کو سمجھنا ایک سفر ہے، دوڑ نہیں۔ آہستہ آہستہ سیکھیں، تجسس رکھیں اور کوشش جاری رکھیں۔ جتنا آپ خود کو جانیں گے، اتنا ہی آپ کا مستقبل روشن ہوگا۔

Date: 11-02-2025 Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh was felicitated by Poona College Examination Department on behalf of Y and M AKI Trust, Mumbai. 

The Examination Department of Poona College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Camp, Pune, proudly announces the recognition bestowed by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) for its groundbreaking One-Click Question Paper project. The university has issued formal appreciation letters to the Y and M AKI Trust, Mumbai, Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, Vice-Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh, and CEO Dr. Sayyad Vakeel for their pioneering efforts in developing this innovative initiative.  

The One-Click Question Paper project is set to benefit approximately 3,00,000 students across 500 affiliated Arts, Science, and Commerce colleges under SPPU. This transformative initiative underscores Poona College's commitment to leveraging technology to enhance academic processes and student experiences.  

In a special ceremony organized by the Examination Department, Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh was felicitated on behalf of the Trust and College for his dynamic leadership and exemplary guidance in spearheading the project.

Vice-Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh was also recognized for his significant contributions to the initiative. Additionally, Mr. Ismail Sayyed, Registrar, was honored on behalf of the non-teaching staff for their unwavering support.  

A copy of the One-Click Question Paper project was formally presented to Dr. Mohd. Zuber, the college librarian, for archival and reference purposes. The project had previously been communicated to students through the college's official Telegram group, ensuring widespread awareness and accessibility.  

The Examination Department also acknowledged the relentless efforts of its staff and the technical team behind the project. Trophies, cash prizes, and appreciation letters were awarded during the Prize Distribution Ceremony of COMFEST-2025, celebrating their dedication and hard work.  

The event was conducted under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh and Vice-Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh, with CEO Dr. Sayyad Vakeel coordinating the proceedings.
