Dear Colleagues, Esteemed Faculty, and Friends,

It is with a profound mix of emotions, immense pride, deep gratitude and a touch of nostalgia that I write this final message as your College Examination Officer. My tenure from July 2022 to August 2025 has been an extraordinary journey of innovation, collaboration and relentless pursuit of excellence and it is now time for my “Final click” in this role.

When I began, entrusted as the youngest CEO in the history of Poona College, I was driven by a vision to transform our examination system into a pillar of efficiency, transparency and student-centric support. This vision was realized through teamwork with the support of our leaders, to name a few, former Principal Prof.  (Dr.) Shaikh Aftab Anwar, Present Principal, Dr. Iqbal Shaikh and former Vice-Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh.

Our most pioneering accomplishment was the conception and execution of the “One Click Question Paper Initiative.” This groundbreaking, green initiative eliminated logistical burdens and empowered over 12,00,000 (12 lakh) students across 500 colleges affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). It contributed in the Green Environment by saving around 1,20,00,000 ( 1.20 crores )of printing pages. It was an honour for Poona College, along with the Y and M AKI Trust, Mumbai, to receive a formal letter of appreciation from SPPU, cementing our status as the first college in the university’s history to be recognized for such an innovative and socially responsible contribution.

Our commitment was always to you, the students. We engineered a suite of digital solutions to ensure seamless communication and support:

•  A dedicated Telegram channel for instant official announcements, providing seat numbers a day in advance, schedules, and ledgers championing a paperless environment.
•  A 24x7 online student helpline on the college website and a CEO’s 24x7 online help desk via official mail and WhatsApp, ensuring help was always a click away.
• A dedicated Student Grievance Redressal Cell was available at the CEO's Office from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• The provision of previous question papers at a single click, demystifying exam preparation.

For our dedicated staff: we streamlined operations through a dedicated WhatsApp Exam Group, ensuring all critical announcements, combined result ledgers, university schedules, and summary lists were disseminated instantly and efficiently. The entire Examination Department remained a constant, reliable resource, accessible 24x7 through official channels and physically present during all office hours to ensure nothing was left to chance. Our system of continuous alerts for pending internal, practical, and CAP mark entries ensured timely and accurate results.

For our institution: Poona College, Examination Department upheld a standard of impeccable compliance. We navigated all university formalities with precision and supported the accounts department in achieving a record of zero rupee penalty, safeguarding approximately ₹15,00,00 (15 lakhs) for the college over three years. 

The Examination Department  earned a 100%  marks in NAAC  assessment and also a 100% score in Academic and Administrative Audit for the Academic Year  2024-25 (conducted by IQAC,). Furthermore, we maintained a record of zero copy cases across numerous examinations and had the distinct privilege of organizing the solemn and celebratory Graduation Ceremony, honouring the hard work of our students.

Our contributions extended to supporting the university ecosystem by:

• Successfully conducting the university’s Common Assessment Program (CAP). We also made a record of all the model answers available at One Click.
•  Hosting SPPU’s Examination Centre for Supplementary examinations and the Distance Learning Centre (ODL).
• Developing and disseminating critical student undertakings to comply with university circulars.
• Providing consistent guidance and support to fellow College Examination Officers across the region.

As I sign off, I carry with me the pride of what we have built together a system defined not by paperwork, but by purpose; not by hurdles, but by solutions. The foundation is strong, the processes are robust, and the team is exceptional.

I thank the Almighty, Y and M AKI Trust, Mumbai, Principal, HODs, all the teaching, Non-teaching staff members, students and parents for their continuous support and cooperation.

I thank Dr. Prabhakar Desai sir, Officiating Director, BEE (Board of Examination and Evaluation), Savitribai Phule Pune University, former Director of BEE Dr. Mahesh Kakade sir,  Deputy Registrars Dr. Pradeep Koli sir and Rajesh Raherkar , former Deputy Registrars Dr. Gokuldas Lokhande sir and Kulkarni sir, all the staff of SPPU, Examination Department. I would like to thank the immediate past Dean of Commerce and Management,Dr. Mithare sir.

Special thanks to Dr. Nasrin Khan ma'am, HOD, Department of Commerce and Research Centre, for her continuous support and guidance at the Departmental level and allowing the CEO to focus on the innovative projects.

I wish  good luck to the newly appointed CEO, Dr. Mukhtar Shaikh for his future endeavours.
